MDB New Energy was asked to design and install a 10kw ground mounted Solar PV system by Roger Geeson of Pentrich, Derbyshire.
A galvanised steel frame was constructed in a south facing position and a 10kW array of 40 Sanyo 250w HIT Photovoltaic panels were installed.

The amount of money you save is dependent on the amount of electricity that you generate from your solar PV system. The feed in tariff is a means that generators will be paid the fit rate for the total generation but will also be able to sell any energy they export back to the grid. Customers on the fit scheme will receive a guaranteed payment of 3p/KWh that they export back. The tables below provide examples of the savings that you could make by installing solar PV.
