Saving You Money
Solar power is a great way to reduce your electricity bills. Sunlight is free, so once you've invested in your solar installation, you can start saving straight away. The amount you'll save will depend on the size and amount of PV panels you have. If you produce more electricity than you need, you can sell it back to the national grid so someone else can use it.
In April 2010 the Government introduced the Feed-in Tariff (FITs) to help increase renewable energy in the UK. It is a scheme that pays people for creating their own "clean, green electricity". The payments are TAX free and guaranteed for 25 years.
Payments are based on the electricity generated by your Solar Photovoltaic system which is used in the property (up to 4KW system you will receive 21p per kilowatt produced). There is also an additional payment for any unused energy produced which is exported back to your electricity provider. This means you get paid more for the energy you don't use than for that which you do which encourages energy efficiency.

Making your life greener
The founders of MDB New Energy, Matt and Heather, are passionate about making your lifestyle more environmentally friendly by using the latest technology to reduce C02 emissions. Unlike gas and fossil fuels, sunlight is a renewable energy. It is freely available and you don't even need direct sunlight to generate electricity using PV (photovoltaic) panels. Their team helps homeowners and businesses throughout Derbyshire and surrounding areas become greener by installing solar power systems. To find out how to get Solar Power click here >>>

The amount of money you save is dependent on the amount of electricity that you generate from your solar PV system. The feed in tariff is a means that generators will be paid the fit rate for the total generation but will also be able to sell any energy they export back to the grid. Customers on the fit scheme will receive a guaranteed payment of 3p/KWh that they export back. The tables below provide examples of the savings that you could make by installing solar PV.
