Cheap and green electricity
Solar power gives you cheap, green electricity from sunlight - even on cloudy days! PV panels capture the sun's energy using photovoltaic (PV) cells. These convert the sunlight into electricity which can be used to run your household and business appliances and lighting. Solar panels offer an alternative to non-renewable fossil fuels (like coal, oil and gas) and help you to reduce the CO2 emissions in your home or business.
Save money long term
There are financial benefits too. Investing in a renewable energy technology now basically means pre-buying energy at today's prices for a future where energy may cost a lot more. If fuel prices rise, your pay back will happen even sooner.
Renewable energy
Unlike gas and fossil fuels, sunlight is a renewable energy. It is freely available and you don't even need direct sunlight to generate electricity using PV panels, so you can still generate some electricity on a cloudy day.
Cut carbon emissions
Conventional electricity generation from fossil fuels such as coal, oil and gas produces large quantities of carbon dioxide. For every 1kWh of electricity you use, over half a kilogramme of CO2 is released. Generating your own electricity from renewable sources reduces the amount of conventionally generated electricity you need to buy from your supplier.
Cut your electricity bills
Sunlight is freely available, so once you've paid for the installation of your solar panels your electricity costs will be greatly reduced. A typical home using a PV system can produce around 40% of the electricity the household uses in a year.
Sell the electricity you don't use
When you produce more electricity than you need or when you are unable to use it, you can sell it back to the national grid. Our installation team will do all the hard work for you, by applying to your Distribution Network Operator, connecting you to the grid and installing the relevant meters. All you need to do is enjoy knowing that any energy that you are unable to use is helping someone else be a little greener and earn money in the process!
